Ole says, it's made out of scrap steel, and has multiple purposes: ordinary chisel, side-cutting chisel, machete, froe and drawknife. Oliver gave an fascinating explanation of how he made it out of an old chain saw bar, and explanations of how he used it for various tasks. This tool is a beautiful demonstration of his handiwork, ingenuity, lifestyle, and more. Heidi says: I wanted a picture of all of Olivers selfmade tools so we put them on a peace of cloth on the snow outside the entance of Olivers cabin. We took a few pictures where we changed the tools around. I have the tool to tan hides with here in Norway. I also have two ulus.
